More demands were put forward when the information transmit capacity and speed were required to be higher in current communication systems. Optical communication system is developed apace because it has so many merits such as tremendous transmit bandwidth, very low transmit losses and anti-interfere of strong electromagnetism. All optical exchange scheme has been the trend of modern optical network with the development of optical communication system and application of Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing(DWDM). Optical switch is the key element of all optical network. MEMS optical switch arrays, which can achieve small insertion loss, low cross talk and large switching contrast, are going to be the key considerations in the optical cross connectors (OXC) and optical add/drop multiplexers (OADM) for optical networking.Insertion Loss, Polarization Dependence Loss, Return Loss and Wavelength Dependence Loss are primary parameters of MEMS optical switch. Transmission character during free space and transform of the Gaussian beam during transmiting C-Lens is analyzed. The numerical simulation intensity distribution of decentered Gaussion beam has been presented before and after coordinate transforming of Gaussian beam in focal plane of C-Lens. We have discussed four coupling loss induced when two fiber coupling each other and have simulated numerically for them, including transverse displacement of fiber core, axial displacement, slope angle and module mismatch. Essential principal of polarization dependence loss has been analyzed and we have calculated theoretical value of polarization dependence loss in 1×2 MEMS optical switch. Several causes inducing return loss and essential principal of torsion beam optical switch driven by electrostatic force have been introduced simply.We have presented respectively the reasons result in this difference by analyzing the theoretical value and experiment data of PDL and IL. We have used the broad band source as the input light to analyse the optical spectrum character of two channels of the optical switch, and found the difference between the two curves. We have analyzed the reasons why this case happens and presented the solution. In result, we get the respective wavelength dependence loss of two channel.
