Millimeter-waves inverse Cassegrain antenna with polarization-rotation, efficient wide scan angle,light weight and small size, which is used in modern radar systems, is studied in this paper. This antenna was divided into two parts: polarization-rotation grating and reflection- transmission grating etching on the paraboloid dielectric plate, which are designed respectively.Polarization-rotation grating plate is used to rotate the polarization of field. Based on the plane wave modes expansion and transmission line model as well as the formula on the rotation performance of polarization-rotation grating, by means of computer CAD by using optimization arithmetic—GA, the optimized parameters of polarization grating plate at 3mm band are obtained. Dual bands polarization strip plate is also studied, calculation results show it can working in two different bands, in which one is 3mm band.Similar method is using to deal with paraboloid grating; the optimized parameters of grating are also obtained. Antenna performance is evaluated by using aperture field method. Finally, plane diffraction grating, which is using to replace paraboloid grating, is studied. And the antenna pattern is also estimated.
