In recent years , Ethernet technology developed continually, and its application fields expanded rapidly. Ethernet has surpassed the local area network category, tended towards the campus network and the metropolitan area networks. Ethernet technology is recommended by network manager for its making the campus network more convenient, economic and high performance. However, most of the campus network is made up independently, from the basic network building, security management, to the network control. It has a lot of disadvantages, such as unattached module working, poor anti-virus ability, lacking a unified network architecture. It makes bandwidth resource damaged, and filching information happened frequently, finally bring the enormous threat, In this paper, faced to the current situation and existing problems, blends intelligent, security and other technologies into the solution, present a solution of campus network based on 802.1x protocol.Firstly, the thesis aiming at the actuality of campus network, an intelligent secure network, with fluency, safe, orderly and sustainable development features, is rebuild. The intelligent secure campus network,based on 802.1x protocol, adds a variety of technologies to enhance the ability of network security. This thesis improves the 802.1x protocol to satisfy the require of intelligent secure campus network, and embed it to switch in access layer. Then, analyses from the user terminal, focus on introducing the access module, which cooperatively complete the intelligent security task with other modules. At last, presents the network structure, including several functional components: user terminals, the access layer, the aggregation layer, the backbone layer, the integrated network management systems, and net exports. A detailed analysis of the network topology is given. Secondly, presents to the detailed design of intelligent secure campus network, build network, configures network equipment, and simulate campus network environment. Testing indicates that this scheme gained the better effect. Finally, a summarization about this thesis and future research work are given.
