With the increasing need of the software, it is essential to develop software by employing the software engineering philosophy. A dominant way to resolve the incoming crisis of the software is to observe the software engineering methods in every step of the software life cycle.In this thesis, some basic concepts of the software engineering, e.g., the software engineering principles, the software development models and so on, are firstly introduced. And then several key process areas of software engineering are described. Thereafter, the process of developing a digital counterfeiting system, by using the software engineering methods, is expressed in detail.Firstly, this paper describes the major goal of the digital counterfeiting public service system, analyzes the requirement of the system, and proposes the model of the system. Then the major framework of the system is put forward, including the logical hierarchy and the physical configuration of the system. This paper analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of coding systems, and chooses one coding system according to the requirement of the system. Subsequently, a few technical problems related to the coding system are discussed.This paper discusses the design and the implementation of digital counterfeiting public service system, puts forward the framework of the application, and analyzes the security of the system over Internet, e.g., the CA authentication/authorization scheme, intruding detecting scheme and so on. The error-tolerance system is also introduced.This paper also discusses the later testing work of the digital counterfeiting public service system. Firstly, the environment of the testing is depicted. The procedure of the testing work is depicted in detail, the design of testing cases and generation of testing documents are put forward.In the end, this paper points out the work to be improved and future researches.
