Research And Implement Of Streaming Media System

With the fast development of the information technology, especially internet, greatly change the life style of human beings and the way human beings work, and make the communication and transmission of information take on the unprecedented convenience and promptitude. People are not satisfied with transporting simple texts or pictures information through Internet. More and more complex multimedia information (especially the Audio/Video sequences) becomes popular over Internet. Multimedia transport over Internet has shown an attractive communication prospect to people. The capability of IP network to carry multimedia has a great progress with development of multimedia compression coding technology and the emergence of some new protocols supporting multimedia communication such as RSVP, RTP/RTCP, RTSP, MMS, however, the application of streaming media is only at its beginning. With the development of IT, it will change our lives. How to make use of streaming media technology in the network to provide real-time, reliable and customized streaming media services, has been attracting more and more attention.This paper introduces the streaming media technology, including principle of streaming media, the means of transmission and broadcast modes, file formats, networks, as well as quality control, then studies RealSystem system architecture based on streaming media system, the framework is composed of four modules, namely: PRODUCER, SERVER, DRM and PLAYER. Different modules work together. The producer module provide data to the server, transmit data to client after adding data to DRM module. The client who holds key may visit server through the network of media services. Server services is composed of the core module, RealSystem monitors, XML documents, player Plug-ins, allocation Plug-ins, documentation format Plug-ins, and documentation systems Plug-ins.
