| Maintenance(include migration)of information system, a measure to continuously strengthen system usability and reliability, is an important part of the software life cycle.According to the actual needs, the author of this paper maintained the existing WEB information system and migrated data in different database systems. When the WEB information system was under maintenance, the author analyzed the framework of WEB information systems, design method, testing method, performance and optimization on the system, database migration from SQL Server to Oracle.On the basis of theory research, the author completed three software modules, data input module, report management module and data maintenance module; a database porting tool, Migration Workbench; SQL programming to migrate data from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 9i; after data migration, functional testing and performance testing were done on the whole WEB information system. In the end, based on the testing results, optimization on database system, database access, connection pool, SQL statements and stored procedures, input and output cache, etc. was done for the system. And the system responding time was significantly reduced and the user's requirement was reached.This paper systematically described the research work the author had done. Detailed discuss on the maintenance, testing, and performance optimize was included in this paper. |
