The application of digital technology to power supply control is one of the significant changes in power electronics industry in the recent years. Digital power contains two aspects, one is digital management, and the other is digital control. Because digital management can be realized by MCU, so this paper doesn't discuss this issue. This paper more focuses on the theory, compose and design of digital control power supply. Especially the latest generation DSP of high speed and integrated with memory, AD/DA, PWM generator and communication interface, is facility used to design power supply. Firstly, we must definitude digital control bring us superiority of control and advantage of cost. Secondly we must understand the theory and compose of digital switching power supply. Thirdly, although digital control offers flexible control strategy, there still are some drawbacks compared to analog control. So we must know these drawbacks and discover strategy.This paper discuses the trend of digital switching power supply, then discuses how to take example for single-phase power factor correction in designing digital switching power supply. The important thing is that small signal model of single-phase power factor correction is analyzed in this paper. According to this, this paper clarify the composes of double-link control of digital power supply, or the link of current and the link of voltage, and researchs detailedly how to design digital controller.
