Big changes have taken place in the developmental environment in China's publishing industry since 1990s. Competition and cooperation among the publishing houses gradually became a common trend. Taking a target model for building Chinese publishing groups the author expressed her views on how to develop a strategic plan for the group so as to enhance its core competition.Press and publication has her special political attribute, but with the factors that our country is going deep into market economy, especially after joining WTO. The pace that press and publication as an industry blends in market trend step by step cannot be prevented, establishing publishing group is one measure of coping with these changes.With some background information and layout of the structure of the thesis, the author overviews the operation theory. Based on this, this thesis is mainly divided into four parts: The first part is a brief description of establishing theory of enterprise group, such as forming, management system, operating mechanism, establishing model and establishing procedure of business group; The second part and the third part respectively analyze the history of the development of foreign publishing groups and Chinese publishing groups; The fourth part is the focal point in this thesis, the content is image of target model designing and running of establishing Chinese publishing group, detailedly talking about the image of headquarters and subsidiary companies.
