Development Of System For Measuring Beam Coherence Polarization Matrix (BCPM)

The system for measuring the Beam Coherence Polarization matrix (BCPM) relates to multiple disciplines of optics electronics and computation. Based on the study of division of amplitude photo polarimeter, the principle of a division of amplitude photo measuring BCPM is introduced in this thesis. Simultaneitily, it has made a research on sues for the characters of light source for survey. In order to meet the request for detecting, a peripheral electro circuit is designed. An autocontrol and analysis programme is completed based on visual basic 6.0.In the program we compile the matrix operation with the aim at improving the speed of analysis programme. The stereograph of Poincare Sphere is worked out by using visual basic and matlab, which can carry out operation of circumvolving etc. The calibration and testing of an experimental system based on the above principle are reported. At the same time, we analyze the experimental system inaccuracy and the methods of reducing the inaccuracy. In the last we point out the ways of commercial instrument. We believe it will be an important instrument that is used in researching on polarization, polarized transfer-laws and light correlation.
