Polarization navigation is a novel autonomous navigation method.Polarization navigation doesn't radiate any information outside,or have affection of electromagnetic interference and the direction of the polarization navigation doesn't accumulate over time.Polarization navigation can not only make up autonomous navigation system with a speedometer,but also compose integrated navigation system with navigation devices such as GPS,MIMU.Polarization navigation technology has attracted more and more attention of experts and scholars.The research of polarization navigation focused on two aspects: 1.The research of polarization navigation mechanism;2.The research of polarization navigation sensor.The main work of this paper is designing and researching the polarization navigation sensor.The main content is as follows:1.The research of polarization navigation is introduced.According to the division-of-amplitude method which this paper will be use,the research of the division-of-amplitude photopolarimeter is stated.2.The mechanism of polarization navigation is introduced.This mainly includes the following points: the polarzied light's origin,description,distribution mode and the positioning method of polarization navigation sensor.3.Take a brief description of two existing polarization detection methods.Different with these methods,the paper researches a new polarization angle detection method,namely division-of-amplitude method.Design the structure of the sensor based on division-of-amplitude method and propose the process of polarization angle calculation.4.Design the data sampling system of polarization navigation sensor.Make sampling plan of the system.Introduce the selection of the main chips.Complete the hardware design,FPGA logic design and digital acquisition system's interface design.5.Set up the polarization sensor platform to complete polarization angle measurement experiment.Make a data processing aiming at the measured angle.The result indicates that the division-of-amplitude method can get the angle information effectively.The performance of the sensor can satisfy the need of navigation demand in actual environment.
