Research And Applications Of Patent Based Intellectual Property Management System

Along with the globalization of the domestic market and standardization of the patent-system, patents and other intellectual property have been increasingly emphasized by enterprises. Patent document includes technologic information in the related fields of the products, and be utilized correctly and effectively, can bring huge economic benefits to the enterprise.Domestic enterprises used to download a mess of patent documents related to their products, and get the information by artificially reading. It could not translate the patent documents into real sense of enterprises' information resource by such ways. In order to maximize the utilization of the patent documents, the author puts forward the analysis methods for patent documents and the solution for patent-resource utilization in the manufacturing-enterprises. Based on the intellectual property management system, it provides a CAI tool to help users to analyze patent and supports product development and patent infringement checking.This thesis consists of five chapters. In chapter one, the author introduces the basic concepts of intellectual property and patents, and analyzes the status of present utilization in the manufacturing-enterprises' R&D department, then educes the purpose and significance of this study. In chapter two, basic knowledge of patent is introduced, especially the structure and composition of patent document, and this is the precondition to the following study. Chapter three introduces the solution of extracting information from patent document, which includes the methods of digitization and Information Extraction. In chapter four, the realizations of system and development tools are introduced, and examples of the usage of the system are demonstrated. The last chapter summarizes the research work, points out the main achievement of this thesis and establishes a further vision on the solution to the existing problems.
