In this dissertation, based on mechanism and composition of the point to point controlled system, a point to point controlled system for automatic wire heald making machine was developed to realize the automation of the wire heald's production. And the key techniques such as the actuating mechanism, the position control system and the position measuring system were discussed thoroughly.In chapter 1, the purpose of this dissertation and research trends were introduced. Then the main content of the dissertation was addressed.In chapter 2, point to point control principle was studded. First, point to point control principle and some kinds of drive units were analyzed. Then immediately quasi-closed loop system was put forward after comparing three kinds of control methods.In chapter 3, the errors on the driving system were studied. A few errors that influence the positioning accuracy in the gear train were represented. The formulas of error were given to increase the precision of position controlling and to enhance the ability of the response. At last the formula of rigidity was given to analyze the drive's dynamic performance.In chapter 4, the design of the actuating mechanism and the driving system was explained. The designing of the position control and the feeding actuating, the actuating mechanism, the drive system, and the complementary units were introduced concretely.In chapter 5, the design of the point to point controlled system was implemented. The comparing of position, the means of seeking reference position, the method of control of devised position, the method of proclaiming that didn't depending on the PLC's sweep interval and man-machine interface were included. And also some parameters were allocated for using stepping motor better. Model building and simulation were made to show harmonic vibration how affected on the system at last.In chapter 6, the automatic wire-heald-making machine was tested. How the measuring system influenced to locating position was analyzed. And the system error and position-adjusted method were studded. And means were carried out to optimize program better. At last the performance of locating position is tested.In chapter7, the main content of the dissertation was summarized and the further research work which would be done in the near future now on was put forward.
