Grid appears after World Wide Web as a new network computing platform. It supports the sharing and extensive coordinated work of diverse resources and avoids accessing limitation to computational resources which is generated because of geographical location difference. The ultimate goal of grid is to provide the universal computing power independent of geographical location and computing infrastructure, so that people use grid's computing power as conveniently as people use electric power now.Administrating all kinds of dispersive resources to satisfy different application needs is a complex and challenging job in grid environment, because grid resources have distributed, heterogeneous and dynamic characteristics. Grid resource management and resource scheduling mechanism will have a great influence on the execution results of grid applications. So grid resource scheduling becomes one of the most arrestive research problems among grid technologies. In this thesis, the characteristics of grid environment and resource management and resource scheduling models of current main gird projects are studied. The advantages and disadvantages of existing gird resource scheduling...
