Research And Design Of Model Transformation Engine In MDA

About setting up the platform model, related standards have already built up in the field. Mutual model transformation technique is not mature yet. Model transformation is the pivotal problem of MDA. Each development step of model transformation will influence greatly the realization of automatic code generation, integration & correspondence of different platforms and new technologies emerging in the field. The profound influence of model transformation on the software realm makes it become the research hotspot in the field. But current research only located at some one concrete realm or platform mostly, and the uniform standard has not been formed yet not to say commercial application, although a lot of transformation methods and proposal have been put forward.Considering the situation that model transformation has no uniform standard, magistral model transformation methods, and also model transformation feature model are analyzed in the article. The defauts of these model transformation methods are as follows: arithmetic is too complex, with bad reuse and little universal, at same time, uniform semantics is lack All the problems above make it difficult applicate for model transformation.So,model transformation engine (MTE) on the transformation rules is brought up in the page. Model transformation is discussed from rules & its semantics, and general transformation part. Firstly, the relationship between source and destination, formalization description are discussed in paper. Secondly, semantics of transformation rules is analyzed, transformation rules are defined, and structure of MTE rule library is given,main parts and principle of MTE are discribed in details.Finally,MTE is validated using an instance. The main task and aim of the paper includes:1.The classic proposal and main method about currently model transformation, combined and classfied carried on a comment to each classification. 2.Design a prototype of model transformation based on the XML, MOF and XML are integrated by the XML bus which is convenient to different data format data exchange and communication. An application is given, and also excellences& defects of the model transformation are described.3.The model transformation engine (MTE) on the base of model transformation rules is brought up. MTE consists of three parts: transformation rule library, transformation scheduling and transformation process manager.
