Research And Development Of Workflow Management In Enterprise PDM System

As time goes into the 21 century, the computer has more and more been used. The technologies of product data management (abbr. PDM) and workflow management (Abbr. WFM) have been used by more and more enterprises, also, the technology of computer aided design and manufacture has been spread widely. With the PDM putting into practice, it has broken down the traditional management method, and solved problem so called"informational isolated island"exits in many enterprises. The WFM is one of the important composing models of PDM, and is also one of the research content of enterprise management.Based on the PDM which is developed by Beijing Beizhong Steam Turbine generator Co., Ltd, combined with the system structure of the PDM system, the thesis penetrate into research of the WFMS, sets up the system structure for the WFMS. The expatiation of the thesis is describing as follows:(1) Summarizes the definition of workflow, penetrates into analysising the system architecture of workflow management and the reference model of it.(2) Researches and diagnoses the real condition of beizhong, analysis the problems of it. On the basis of PDM system architecture, brings forward WFMS system architecture of beizhong PDM system, on the basis of which, develops the architecture of WFMS, which realizes the definition of workflow, task management and role management.(3) As far as the workflow is concerned in the application, researches and develops some tools for communication for uses-Email system, which realize the sending and receiving of Emails.The dissertation uses the VB.NET as the tool of developing the WFMS system, uses SQL Server 2000 as tool of developing Database system. Otherwise, in the development of Email system, it involves some knowledge of technology of network, such as SMTP and POP3. AS one of the most important models of PDM, the development of WFMS has made the utilization of PDM more significant, the management of enterprise more convenient.
