The Research And Design Of E-mail Pre-processing And Filtering Management System

This paper concerns about email pre-processing, anti-spam, the statistical analysis to emails, and the design and research of email filtering management system. It makes a deep research of completely new structure of anti-spam filter and its system. Taking research on this system has great applied and theoretical values.The most important application of Internet is E-mail service. There are about 50 percent of spams in 1.4 billion emails everyday. They eat up a large number of network resources, system resources and storage resources of E-mail servers. Because the reasons mentioned above, anti-spam becomes more and more serious problem in computer network communication. With reference to lots of native and foreign materials, this author takes deep research and analysis on anti-spam system and proposes a new method to solve this problem.The paper, at first, explains the protocols of email system and the principles of anti-spam system. It analyzes the protocols and principles of email system in order to know the lifecycle of spam's birth, transmission and its receiving, so as to identify the spam and capture it exactly. The email protocols having relations with anti-spam system are SMTP and MIME. The traditional anti-spam techniques are client filter, client tools, server filter, firewall and so on, but present techniques and solutions can not control the flood of spam on Internet well.This paper then accounts for the architecture of E-mail Pre-processing and Filtering Management System developed by this author, and gives detailed description to the functions, structures and relationships of all modules top-down in the system. The data structures of database are defined in the paper, and the main function interfaces are also given. The paper makes comprehensive research and discussion to the development of the system from the aspects of system analysis, system design, system realization and system test. Additionally, this paper also gives detailed illustrations to the design and implementation of the server module and the console module.
