FCS is one kind of Fieldbus control system applied to industrial manufacture with bi-directional, serial, multi-nodes, provides digital communication between measuring node and control node. It holds open, digital, multi-nodes low layer communication characters. With the fast development of Fieldbus, FCS will instead the traditional DCS and become the new control network in future.Because of its prominent advantages, high reliability and distinct design, CANBUS is one of the most promising field bus, and is widely applied in product fields and most of the control system network, and acquired high praise as well. The developed FCS adopts CANBUS communication protocol. After comprehending the state of the art of field bus techniques in details, the author proposed the FCS project plan that comprised of one server computer and several function modules distributed in product fields. These field control modules include: analog input/output module AO/AI, digit input/output module DI/DO, sound alarm module, record module, etc. The key works is to develop CANBUS net card and its driver which is based on CAN2.0A, configure software for the server pc and makeup communication protocol as well as modules driver programs.Based on the Windows XP platform, all software were programmed with VB. The new technology of ADO and its extended technology ADOX were used to the database design, and ODBC and DDE can be applied to the software well. The software has the following characters: friendly human-machine interface, convenient configuration, facility, real-time database management, drawing the real-time charts and printing formal forms and so on.Finally, the system has been tested with software running, the test result showed that the configuration database's structure is correct, the prototype is perfect, and the system's credibility is durable high. The test proved that the developed software maintained the design requirements and specifies.
