The traditional transreceiver or the system is aims at the specific modulation service pattern and the band width sole system, its application scope is extremely limited, cannot adapt the present multimodulations, the multiservices communications system. Without the constraint of hardware structure, software radio is becoming the best way to solve the problems of co-operation among different modes and develop more services. It is of magnitude commercial and military value and is regarded as a new great revolution to the structure of traditional radio communication system.The purpose of this thesis is to work deeply over the software radio theory, understand the key thinking of software radio, cognize the key technologies of software radio, and design the IF(intermediate frequency) software radio reconnaissance receiver subsystem basing on the software radio theory. The research method of this thesis is theory guiding practice, and practice validating theory. Namely, using the software radio base theory to guide the design of the IF software radio receiver subsystem and loading the software program to realize the hardware module function, which commendably reveals the software radio thinking.This paper mostly describes the basic theories which used in Software Radio and designs a IF Software Radio receiver system based on Software Radio theory. The emphases is the part from IF to base band. At first this paper discusses the cunceplion of Software Radio and key technologies (including sample and extractive). Basing on single channel IF Software Radio receiver mathematic model designs a IF Software radio system based on AD6640, AD6620 and TMS320C6711. The whole system simulation is employed under the software MATLAB.
