The research is a part of the key project of Shanxi Province.With the development of modern radar technology, microwave radar with the advanced signal processing technology and FMCW radar technology can precisely measure the level of the solid or liquid in the complex environment. LFMCW radar is applied to the level measurement of the coal warehouse. The LFMCW (linearity-frequency-modulated continuous wave) radar system, owing to its features of high range-resolution, low transmitting power and small size, is suitable for level systems in harsh environments. So it can achieve the effective and real-time measurement.The LFMCW radar transmits a linearity frequency-modulated signal. The signal is reflected from distant targets and detected by the receiver where the return signal is mixed with a copy of the transmitted signal. The mixed signal determines the distance of the target by the signal processing.
