Research And Development Of Intelligence Traffic Sign Control System

The sharp national economic development has propelled the course of urbanization and motorization, in addition the construction of roads cannot catch up with the abrupt increase of vehicle amounts. The imbalance of the supply and the demand in the traffic bring out the conflict inevitably, such as the difficulty of driving, taking and stopping auto, which could restrict the development of economy to a certain extent. The crossroad is the bottleneck of the traffic flow and the traffic safety, because of it is of complex and changeful. Therefore, Intelligence Traffic Sign Control System designed and produced with the advanced theory of crossroad control and high-tech means could carry out traffic control efficiently, which is of far-reaching significance to lighten or resolve the traffic jam thoroughly and safeguard the traffic safety.The research mainly includes five parts below:(1) Firstly, it analysed the characteristic of traffic flow in the crossroad, and researched the conflict of the traffic flow in the crossroad, the capability of traffic and the level of service in the control of traffic signal.(2) Secondly, it has taken the analysis of the layout and the running in the control of traffic signal, associating with the design of the control of traffic signal.(3) Thirdly, it has put forward a model which could realize the control of traffic signal in the condition of multi-parameter operation.(4) Fourthly, it designed and produced Intelligence Traffic Sign Control System using the technology of the singlechip.(5) Lastly, it established a system which could estimate the target of the control of traffic signal, and made a conclusion with comparing several different mode of the control of traffic signal, after linking to the application in a crossroad in Chongqing.
