In order to monitor the running situation of the equipment, find the accident potential of the equipment in time,guarantee normal running of equipments, it is necessary for patrolmen to examine or patrol important equipments timingly or untimingly,and record and archive operation condition and operation parameters of equipments as the basis of overhaul equipments in the future.Portable condition monitoring and faults diagnosis system is an information collection and management system which is applied for work of equipments or production technology patrol. It can complete the control of patrolled equipments and data gathering and information transmission of examining equipments which regards the computer as the core of controlling system,based on the high-Performance hardware,with software of high security,dependability,the interface operating briefly,and integrated system.The paper analyzed the character of online system and offline system, introduces the actuality of the patrol system, discussed the general construction of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system for machinery and the technique of vibration signal analysis, and a portable condition monitoring and faults diagnosis system based on patrol scheme is constructed. The system software has the following six functions: machine information tree, patrol scheme, data collection, data analysis, data acquisition instrument communications, report and query etc.The paper created a new model of data management: machine information tree model. It managed a series of relative data information from company, factory, plant, to test point and measurement definition. It achieved the electric document of the running machine, and it made for company's modern administration.The system applied the database technology of SQL Server, and effectively administrated the system information, machine information and sampling data. It created the uniform data format for the several of data acquisition model. To manage the data, the system adopt relation database system, it ensure that the data was coherent and integral. The system made full use of constraint mechanism of relation database to ensure that the data was coherent and integral.In the software design, the system integrated the technology of multiple thread and multi-view of Windows operation system, and the different modules can run in parallel.
