For the advantage of extremely low power spectral densities, excellent immunity to interference from other radio systems, exceptional multipath immunity, capable of high bandwidth, multi-channel performance and high system capacity, UWB technology has aroused much attentions. More and more institutes and company are investing in this field, The UWB communication technology is new exploration of radio spectrum, and this will develop new fields of time-domain spectrum.But ultra-wide band technology is a hot topic in the research field of wireless mobile communication during the last few years. However, in order to construct an efective UWB communication system, there is still much work to do. Among these, the most important issues are: the world's authorized UWB regulations, the designing of low-price and low-power UWB CMOS chip that can be large-scale manufactured, a new UWB system structure which can coexist with narrowband communication systems and maximize its own capacity.Firstly, In this paper, the definition of the uwb is given, then the creation mechanism of the signal is clarified immediately after the function is carried on analysis, at the end the author's viewpoints are given. Then, with the design of the UWB signal, analyzed the multi-user interference. Analyzed the UWB interference for narrowband system in the following. Dissertation analyses the basic UWB waveform and compares some different modulation schemes, confirmed which modulation is the best in EMC environment.
