| As the network technology developing, VOIP applications are widespread over the world in recent years. And many standards were made out. With its unmatchable traits the session initiation protocol has stand out and got support of lots of companies. Another fact is that the P2P applications are also widely used in areas such as file sharing, instant communication and distributed computing.Traditional VOIP systems are all based on client/server architecture. To let VOIP combine with P2P technology is a new experiment undoubtedly. After analysis of some modern P2P mechanism, we selected Chord protocol. And finally we have realized a VOIP system using SIP and Chord protocol.In this paper, I'll introduce you the basic knowledge of SIP and Chord protocol first. After that I'll describe the design and implementation of P2P-SIP system. Finally, I'll explain advance services and NAT/Firewall traversal solution, and some security issues. |
