As the technology of telecommunication and information develop at very fast speed, the capacity of the network and the number of the user increase sharply. At the same time, the types of traffic on the network become diversiform, so the architecture of the network is overlapped. The efficiency of the utilization of the network is poor. Under this background, It is certain that the layers of the network predigest. The optical network architecture as IP/WDM is a hotspot blue print. With the development of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology, the capacity of the fiber become larger, and the speed of handling the traffic in the nodes of Optical network become faster. All the progress of the technology provides a base for the blue print. The survivability capability of IP network is poor, so it is necessary that the survivability capability of optical network is strong.Nowadays, the keystone on the study of the survivability of optical network is the collaboration of the survivability schemes of the layers and Routing and Wavelength Assignment (RWA) algorithm. The main research of the thesis is as follows:Firstly, I have read lots of papers about survivability of optical network, and research former method on the survivability schemes. After respectively analyzing the own survivability schemes of IP layer and WDM layer, I have researched the survivable coordination schemes of IP/WDM network.Secondly, I have proposed the shared path protection algorithm based on split traffic for the shared-risk-link-group (SRLG). The Algorithms in this paper can make use of the node with the capability of traffic groom to...
