This dissertation is supported by missile guidance system experimental project of lab building, the visual simulation of this project is studied in this dissertation. Using virtual reality, we designed the simulation system of missile guidance. The primary work is as follows:In order to solve the case of the single ocean backdrop, we created the terrain data of simulation system by using the methods of parameter quadrate mesh based on midpoint displacement. In order to overcome the disadvantage that each array of parameter quadrate mesh only create two main character, an improved algorithm is put forward in this dissertation.Based on the study of the modeling principle of virtual reality, using the Creator software to establish the entire system model and the API function provided by this software, the system's simulation terrain is drawn according to the data created by the improved algorithm.Using the Lynx interface of Vega software, we initialized the missile guidance simulation system, and its API function realized the management and romance of the missile guidance simulation system. And we also achieved the simulation of the system's special effect, sound, and ocean effect by additional model of Vega.Using MFC the system's environment was established by VC++ 6.0, and three function modules were realized. The system was also debugged using the ballistic data. According to the result of the experiment, missile guidance simulation system designed basically satisfied the expected requirement.
