The technology of field bus is developed since the late 1980s', which is used in the field of industrial control. Field bus develops from the information technology, also it's the multiple using of the micro-processing, the network, the communication and the automatic control technology. Gradually, field bus is being widely used in the field of industrial control, building automation and the space flight industry. It brings about a deeply revolution that never happened within the automatic control. The topic discussed in this lecture is on the basis of Filter-Rod Res tore and Transportation System Prototype (MT400) trial running in the Cigarette Factory of Changde. It is made the necessity analysis of transforming the former electrical control system in this lecture. Furthermore it put forward the general scheme of electricity transforming with field bus control.In accordance to the character of the Filter-Rod Restore and Transportation System, the communication protocol of PROFIBUS is chosen after comparing the 3 typical field bus: PROFIBUS, LONWORKS and DEVICENET. Then, it is detailed discussed in these aspects: the selection of the network integrating device; the physical connection of the network; the topology structure; the scheme of the electricity transforming; the safety and reliability designing of the system; and the designing of the control program.In regard to the analysis of the field bus communication principle of Filter-Rod Restore and Transportation System, the lecture discussed this by integrating the theory and the practical process control. The content of the electricity transforming of the system with PROFIBUS includes the designing of signal detecting and dealing system, the developing of the major cache unit machine control, the integration of the system diagnosis and data information, and the subordinate station diagnosis function.In the end of the lecture, it is discussed the major object of the system—the application and experiment of the Danfoss inverter with PROFIBUS.
