In License Plate Recognition License Plate Localization And Character Of Plate Recognition Engineering Research And Realization

The vehicle license automatic recognition system is developed in recent years based on the image and the character recognition technology intellectualization traffic control system, and it is a hot spot in patterns recognition applied research domain both at home and abroad at present, becoming an important research topic in the information processing technology. This system is mainly made up of vehicle license picture gathering and the pretreatment, the vehicle license region localization and withdraws, the vehicle license character division and the recognition .The article has made a quite comprehensive elaboration about the vehicle license localization and the new algorithm of character recognition, the new technology as well as the system overall design. In view of existing research situation at home and abroad, I have made thorough research about two essential technologies: the vehicles license region localization and the license character recognition, and solved the following problems: Firstly, accurately and rapidly locating and dividing vehicle license region in the complex background image ; Secondly, enhancing the capability of vehicle license character recognition .The solution to the two questions has created the advantage for the overall design and practical application of the vehicle license recognition systemIn the article, the vehicle license localization algorithm, based on the particle image velocimetry (PIV), has made full use of the mutual characteristics of two edges of the character image in the vehicle license. It has improved and simplified the algorithm realization, accurately and fast picked out the vehicle license region, making it possible to automatically withdraw the vehicle license in the complex background . Moreover, in the character recognition process, this article has discussed about the method of withdraw character characteristic vector ,and proposed one kind of recognition character algorithm based on the PCA-BP nerve network, enhancing the character recognition rate.In order to confirm the accuracy and the usability of the algorithm discussed in the article, I have made massive simulations in the vehicles license localization and in the character recognition picture pretreatment, and made contrast by experiment with the algorithm discussed in the article.
