The ultraviolet laser has become a central of focus in the field of laser recent years due to its many advantages such as short wavelength, centralized energy, high resolution and so on. This paper revolved the high power big energy ultraviolet laser to carry on the theory and the experimental study, and obtained some conclusions, thus provided the photosource for laser lightning strike . The paper main discussed the lamp pump solid state laser input-output characteristic and the main influence factors of threshold. Combine with the theoretical analysis and the request of fundamental wave, the cavity is optimized to achieve the highest output power of 1064nm.Based on the principle of phase-match and the optics characters of KTP, high output peak power, narrow pulse-width green laser with high single pass frequency doubling efficiency (infrared -to-green) is obtained by electro-optic Q-switching .Combining the nonlinear specialities of LBO and BBO , based on the good output green laser, the experimental study of THG (third-harmonic-generation) and FHG (fourth-harmonic-generation).
