Satellite signal receiver is the outcome of the development of the modern communication techniques, it has been widely used in many fields, such as satellite navigation,satellite television living broadcast and satellite digital broadcasting, etc.RF circuit is a very important part of the satellite signal receiver. It magnifies the faintly satellite signal and converted it down to the signal processing circuit in the back-end. Without it, it is difficult for the signal processing circuit to sample the faintly satellite signal directly. So the RF circuit is the hinge of the signal chain, and many key targets of the whole receiver, such as noise figure, sensitivity, are determined by it.Under the application background of a certain national engineering model item, this dissertation focuses on the whole design of the RF circuit of the satellite signal receiver; discusses the key techniques in the implement of engineering; and does the hardware of the RF circuit completely.The selection of the signal output manner is the problem that should be considered firstly in the whole design of the RF circuit. Different manner has different needs of the RF circuit. A reasonable choice may greatly reduces the complexity of the signal processing in the back-end, but it has not been generally analyzed in the former references. This paper particularly compares the complexities of the three manners—the base band complex signal manner,the intermediate frequency complex signal manner and the intermediate frequency real signal manner, in the RF circuit and the base band digital signal processing, respectively; chooses the intermediate frequency complex signal output manner, which not only reduces the complexity of the digital signal processing, but also be compatible with the intermediate frequency real signal output manner in some applications which have strictly request on the consistency of the amplitude and the phase in I / Q channels.Frequency planning is an important step in the whole design of the receiver. For the receiver which uses the intermediate frequency real signal output manner, a good frequency plan should guarantee the transition band of the"spectrum blocks"which produced by the sampling as wide as possible, so as to ease the burden of the base-band signal processing to the minimum level.
