With rapid development of computer technology, information technology and network technology get applied more and more widely. Some critical systems need high-stability and high efficiency to accomplish key works and tasks. Thus the requirement for consistency of clocks in distributed system is extremely strict. Therefore, how to synchronize all clocks of distributed system precisely is a quite important issue.The paper focuses mainly on research of clock synchronization in distributed system based on CAN (Control Area Network), designed and implemented of clock-synchronization experiment system in distributed system. The paper summarized basic knowledge of distributed system and clock synchronization in distributed system. Then put more emphasis on Lamport algorithm and other algorithms.Aiming at the distributed system, especially the multi-master system such as CAN, there is no united network clock, so the real time character is affected. In the basis of the posteriori agreement from the point of reducing the message for clock synchronization and improving the precision and accuracy of clock synchronization, the phase-decoupled algorithm is proposed. When applying the algorithm of clock synchronization, the message for synchronization will be reduced from n~2+2n to 3n. It has a fine and creative future.
