Study of bibliography, beginning from the Han Dynasty, had gone trough great development in Nan Bei Chao Dynasty as well as Sui and Tang Dynasty. And it stepped into maturity stage in Song Dynasty. The quantity and quality of government compiled bibliography, historical bibliography and private owned one had gained further development then. Zhong Xing Guan Ge Shu Mu, compiled by Chen Qui in Southern Song Dynasty was one of the classic books. Once it had been published, the book was quoted and used for reference in many academic writings, with great historical values and attention. It had been quoted and used for reference by many scholars in relevant studies; however, there was no special discussion on the book itself till now. Meanwhile, there wasn't much attention being paid to its value and position in the history of bibliographical study and research. That is the reason why the author of this thesis chooses this as research subject.Completed in Xiaozhong Chunxi time of Southern Song, Zhong Xing Guan Ge Shu Mu had 70 volumes and one volume of preface, divided into 52 subjects. 44,486 volumes of books were recorded in the book. It can stand comparison with both Chong Wen Zong Lu and the private owned bibliography of Chao and Chen in its quantity and contents. And this had been proved by the quotation of this book in writings in Song and Yuan Dynasty. The book exerted great influence in the history of bibliographical study. With its direct influence, in 1220 (the year 13 in Jiaqing time), auxiliary official Zhang Pan was authorized to compile Zhong Xing Guan Ge Xu Shu Mu which took records of books after the year 5 in Chunxi time by imitating Zhong Xing Guan Ge Shu Mu. Zhong Xing Si Chao Yi Wen Zhi, compiled after that, was mainly based on these two books. And then in Yuan Dynasty, Song Shi·Yi Wen Zhi was compiled. Moreover, Zhong Xing Guan Ge Shumu had shadowed its influence on the book classification and subject explanation of Zhi Zhai Zhu Lu Ti Jie edited by Chen Zhensun. The book, which can be treated as one of the summits in the history of bibliographical study, showed the advanced development level of bibliographical compilation in the early Southern Song Dynasty.
