Study the main blocks of the modern bandgap voltage reference: Bandgap core, error amplifier, start-up circuit. Analyze and compare some novel techniques of 2nd order temperature compensation in the recent year published papers and journals. An applicable technique is chosen in this circuit design. The circuit can work under 1.5V low power supply voltage.The 2nd order compensated voltage reference is implemented in TSMC 0.35μm standard CMOS process and operate with 1.2V to 2.5V supply voltage. The simulation results shows the circuit generates around 0.65V reference voltage, achieves 4.9ppm/℃of TC in the range of -40℃to 85℃. PSRR reaches 60dB. The circuit meets the target specifications successfully.
