The network attack and its protection are a pair of contradictions. Strictly speaking, there is no absolute network security. The so-called e-Government security refers to the maximum security protection for the e-Government network on the prerequisites of the current development level of security technologies and the increasingly heightened information security awareness of the public servants. It is on this basis that the e-Government security system is established.Information security system technology is complicated, and the threat against network information security changes constantly with the lapse of time and the technology development. In addition, as it requires a relatively huge investment in network security, an accurate risk orientation should be put in place, in order to lay down a good rational security strategy and come up with practical security solutions, thus making the investment rational and practical. In this paper, Chapter one introduces e-Government network security; Chapter two outlines e-Government security system structure; Chapter three describes the background for the e-Government security project in some public security bureau (PSB) and analyzes the security demands of information system from the perspectives of physical security, network security, application security, security management; Chapter four maps out a plan for the PSB e-Government security in these seven respects of LAN security, WAN security, Extranet security, database server security , Web server security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and information security management; Chapter five comes up with security solutions for the PSB e-Government network information system from Physical layer, Network layer and Application layer, in accordance with the functions to be achieved in this security system; Chapter six touches on the implementation of the PSB e-Government security solution and its results, as well as offers assessment and projections for this system. As the e-Government in China develops, the e-Government system plays an increasingly important role in government organs, institutions and social groups. The improvement of e-Government's level places a higher demand on the e-Government security. How to build a secure e-Government system and ensure its implementation is a major issue for us to explore and address.
