| With the development of Internet, the copyright problem of digital goods,such as music, movie, eBook, etc, is more and more standing out. Although Digital Rights Management(DRM) relieve this problem at a certain extent, but it's core aim is protecting the rights and interests of publisher and distributor of digital product, and it ignored consumer's rights and interests entirely. Moreover, it only can work in the traditional Internet with server being the core, but can't act on in the P2P network mode that is more and more prosperous recent years.Based on analyzing typical DRM project, the traditional DRM is extended in allusion to it's shortage. Extended DRM can protect producer's rights and interests, at the same time it can vindicate consumer's proper rights and interests. And it can work in traditional Internet as well as apply to P2P.Firstly, this paper has made an introduction of P2P technology(peer to peer technology), analyzing the construction, application and development of the system. P2P is a new type of distributed computing model, in which the information can be exchanged between the two nodes. multipoint to multipoint transmission technology is one of the P2P technology, that it transmits a file cooperatingly through many machines, thus to avoid the great pressure on server and the consuming of bandwidth and computing resource of server can allocate to every computer evenly. This paper has made a study on P2P system model, and made a detailed analysis of BitTorrent, the typical application of multipoint to multipoint transmission technology.Then, this paper introduced the basic Functional Architecture and Information Architecture of DRM, as well as some other technology correlative to it.
