Holography is in a digital development. Large scale and large viewing field stereograms are more superior than any other patterns used in stereo-display fields. It is a hotpot that many researchers endeavor in. The method of making large-scale stereogram by stitching together small-scale ones has rather practicability, and has been put into products. This thesis analyzes the difficulties in making large-scale stereograms, brings forward a way to make the technology of mosaic to be the truth and tests it in experiments.The whole process includes three steps. They are division of the scene, producing the small-scale holographic units and piecing up the units into a large one in order to get the reappearance of the scene. In the course, several kinds of image software are used to provide images to make sure all the units can construct a whole stereogram, and the reality of the scene recorded may be remained. The DSH (Digital Synthesized Holographic) system is used to make the small-scale units.The main job of the thesis focuses on the achievement of the stitching skill. Based on analyzing the field of vision, a way by increasing the distance of the viewer to get a larger field of vision is practiced. At the same time, the technology of image transformation can solve the problems , such as distortion and so on.The thesis is composed of six parts. In the first part, the developing history and priority of the digital holography are induced. Difficulties of making large-scale holography by stitching many units are also indicated. The second part is important. In this section, some basic concepts and theories are discussed briefly. The main difficulties and settlements are put forward, too. The third part brings up the experimental scheme. The selection of software, the division of the scene, image transformation and design of display instruments are expatiated. The forth part brings the method into effect, including two segments. The first one is mainly testing the feasibility of the method to make a small-scale unit with large field of vision. In the second segment, some parameters are adjusted to get a perfect achievement. A larger stereogram built by three small units is made. The fifth part analyzes the problems in the achievement, discusses the insufficiencies of our experiment, and gives several relevant ameliorations. The last part summarizes the meaning of this experiment. And the foreground of the method in application is expected.
