Record and reconstruction of 3D information by classical Optical Holographyrequire a light source with high interference and intensity as well as very stableoptical system, which restrict its use in 3D display. Development of Computergenerated hologram provides new approch for hologram record, however, huge datarequired becomes its bottleneck, so real 3D display technology can't becomemainstream if CGH isn't to make a breakthrough. Holographic stereogram is a kindof hologram more important than others, and can transfer analog 3D surfaceinformation of a object into a sequence of 2D image with relative less data. As aresult, it transfer a problem of continuous wavefront into a problem of multiview,the advantage is that it not only can reduce computational cost but also can utlizemultiview geometry principle and Image Based Rendering in computer vision andcomputer graphics. After a thorough study on holography, this thesis introduces theprinciple of holographic stereogram, comprehend the nature of holographicstereograrn and the method of eliminating aliasing artifacts with concept ofwavefrortt approximation, and then apply fractional fourier transform to synthesizeholographic stereogram, at last we realize dynamic display of holographicstereograrn based on DMD holographic display system.Some important aspects ofthis thesis as follow:1. Introducing the principle of holographic stereogram, and comprehendingthe nature of holographic stereogram and the method of eliminating aliasing artifactswith concept of wavefront approximation.2. Designing a mathematic algorithm for fractional fourier transform based onLohmann single-lens system, this mathematic algorithm is applied to CGH andhologram of fractional fourier transform is generated, then we simulate generationand reconstruction of fractional fourier transform hologram by computer.3. Constructing holographic display system using DMD as spatial opticalmodulator. The working function and advantage of DMD as SLM are introduced, weanalyze wavefront modulator character of DMD. Refraction raster is generated on DMD holographic display system under the control of fractional fourier transformhologram. Based on reconstruction of binary fractional fourier transform hologramand the character of fractional fourier transform, reconstruction of gray levelfractional fourier transform hologram is realized and experimental results arepresented.4. Gaining 2D serial images by computer graphics, applying fractional fouriertransform algorithm to holographic stereogram, dynamic display of holographicstereograrn on DMD holographic display system is realized, and aliasing artifactsare eliminated effectively.
