Logistics distribution center is an important part of the modern logisticsindustry. In the past, the process of optimizing was often going while distributioncenter was operating. It could analyze various aspects of the distribution center builtand replace the process of changing equipment or optimize the distribution centeroperation. Past practice did not only waste funds and mechanical equipment but alsowaste a great deal of time, labor and materials. In order to save time and costs ofoptimizing the process and assure the planning decisions to be scientific, reasonableand be implemented, the author puts forward to apply Timed Colored Petri Nets to thelogistics distribution center through the survey and studies its modeling andsimulation.In order to analyze the relevant performance more effectively, logistics distributioncenter will be dissected into the purchase, storage, sorting, picking and handlingconveying equipment, and other subsystems according to the characteristics oflogistics distribution center. With the help of Timed Colored Petri Nets, distributioncenter could establish modeling. Through the use of logistics simulation softwareAutoMod, computer simulation further improves the mode of sorting, mode ofdistribution processing, and AS/RS system. On the basis of Simulation results, theauthor has proposed several improvement measures and provided supportingevidences to polish plans and decisions of this distribution center.
