The operator must observe sugar crystal that is in the pot constantly, in order to adopt relevant operation. Many sugar factories judge whether the sugar is good by observing or feeling the sugar crystal samples now. It can't obtain the change of sugar crystal directly, so it is difficult to operate exactly. In order to solve this problem, people invent the sugar microscope. By using microscope that is fixed in the edge of pot, People can observe the change of the sugar crystal directly, find the deviant crystal in time. In order to supervise the processing of sugar production, It makes sense to the segment the sugar crystal micro-image exactly. Because the sugar crystal is smooth and transparent, the light is non-uniformity. On the other hand, the equipment is not good, so the image which sugar microscope collected turn into false three-dimensional image, and there is serious noise. There are few processing methods in the world. The techniques of processing this image are pilot studied in this dissertation. The main works are as follow:(1)Before segmenting, the gray adjusting, the histogram equalizing, the median filtering and the light equalizing are chosen to pretreat the sugar crystal micro-image.
