Compared with the traditional bulk materials, the advantages of lowdimensional(LD) nanometer materials are self-evident. Because of the quantum sizeeffect, minor dimension effect, surface effect and interface effect, nanometer materialspossess a series of excellent properties,including electronic, magnetic, optics,mechanical, optoelectronic and so on. Especially in the challenge regions ofphotocatalyzing and photoelectric tranformation, low dimensional(LD) nanometersemiconductor materials display unique superiority. With the study progressing, manykinds of nanorods, nanotubes, nanowires, nanobelts and nanocombs have beendiscovered. At the same time, the physical properties of single nanostructure of somematerials have successfuly been measured and applied, which push scientists to studythecontrolsynthesisandtheformationmechanismofLDnanomaterials.Zinc oxide, a wide direct-gap semiconductor, attracts as much attention as GaN inphotoelectric research field. Its photoelectric characteristics were little affected byvacancies. And it has great uses in this information age. It can be used to fabricatedisplay devices, high frequency filters, emitting diode, lasers and high-speed opticalswitch. Therefore, it has great uses in both civil and militaryfields.Based on theforefathers work,weprepared ZnOnanobelts,ZnOnanocombs ,ZnOmicro-nanospheresandnano-ZnOofinjectorshapeandflowerpetalshapewithvapor-solidgrowthmechaismontheSisubstrates.Thispapersystematicallystudiedtheeffectsof somefactors,suchasconcentrationofZnvaporandsubstratetemperatureonnano-ZnO,thegrowthmechanismofZnOmicro-nanosphereswasalsosynthesed.CharacterizationsoftheproductsbyTEM,SEM,XRD,SAED,EDS and fluorogenic spectrophotometer showed that the ZnO nanowires were of highpurityandsingle-crystallinewith hexagonalwurtzitestructure,andthe two PL peaks positionofZnOwereabout380nmand510nm.As aresult ofthenanometermaterials'outstandingphysical andchemical property,itsapplicationwasalreadybeingwidespreadmoreandmore.Fromonthecentury'send,the various countries has enlarged and yielded many results to the nanometer materialsresearch. Along with research results conversion rate speeding up, the nanometermaterialswouldbecloselylinkedwitheverybodylifequickly.
