The 21st century is the era of information and internet. In the face of the information resources which are more and more abundant, with the development of information science and internet,and hundreds of thousands of hyperlinking,it's knotty to find out what we need quickly and accurately.Well, the search for application is the best way to solve this difficult problem .Secondly, with the fast growth of Internet in China, more and more domestic enterprises hope to utilize Internet to obtain more commercial opportunities. Global market value of search engine reached 15 billion dollars in 2003,and had been kept growth of 38% of range each year,in the later three years. While in China, the total market value reached 880 million yuan in 2004, and rise violently with more than 70% annual growth.That's to say , the potentiality on the search engine market of China is much higher than international average level.So, making the internet marketing carried on by search engine be the marketing means is more important.Based on two respects of scientific research and economy, I began the study on search engine, and hope for the achievement to some extent. This thesis divides into three parts: First, put forward the issue.Do simple tracking review to the turbulence aggravated day by day ,of the search engine market, put the time venation of search engine of our country in order,which is from scratch ,and get to hot time , and analyse the reason why the search engine is well concerned and the market value, clarifying that the origin of the market fight lies in the impeling of economic benefits.Second, mainly compared domestic main search engine from 2004 to 2006, with each other, especially for baidu , google and yahoo which take up the top three market shares at present. Done omni-directional comparison, including their own homepage, search tool and the marketing tactics, find out the fierceness of the market fights, the common and difference between them.Because of particularity of the search engine regarded as the the products of Internet,making the speed of its change surprising,maybe what is saw is quite different between last night and this morning.
