Research And Implementation Of Data Search Function For Vehicle Navigation System

As everyone knows, especially entering 21st century in recent years, the auto industry has already become the pillar industry of the world, it is more and more outstanding that the automobile function in the daily life and work. Vehicle Navigation System has grown to be a new technology in such a background. Nowadays, the Vehicle Navigation System is not mature, so the system does not apply widely. Function of many of the Vehicle Navigation System is simple, so it can't satisfy the user.This paper does a deep research of the Data Search module which is part of Vehicle Navigation System that has been used. The purpose of adding the Data Search function to Vehicle Navigation System is to get rid of the shortcoming that has been mentioned above. This makes the Vehicle Navigation System to be looked like a integrated information system.Data Search module is a most import part of Vehicle Navigation System. In order to promote the performance of Data Search module, this paper dose some research on several aspects as follows:(1) Formats of data storage have been changed. Indexes have been set up for some data in order to speed the data search.(2) A new memory manager has been implemented in order to get rid of the problem that there are always memory pieces while using the memory manager of Windows CE.(3) The mechanism of thread pool has been introduced in order to change the control method of data search. Such change makes it possible that the system can search one part of the result when the user is reading the other part of the result.
