Study On Security Problems And Countermeasures Of BACnet Network

BACnet (A Data Communication Protocol for Building Automation and Control Networks) protocol, the first data communication protocol for building control network, is produced by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineer). It is the only ISO standard in building control field. With the increase of control systems interconnected by BACnet network, the security of BACnet network becomes more important and the integration of BACnet and IP network makes BACnet network face more network security as traditional IP network.The study content of this article include BACnet standard, network security technique, NS network simulation technique, the security problems of BACnet network, the security countermeasures of BACnet network, security solutions of BACnet network and the NS simulation of BACnet network security. This is the first time to put forward the topic of BACnet network security problems and countermeasures in China and the first time to us NS to simulate the BACnet network security attack and defense. It is not only beneficial to the study of BACnet standard and the application study of NS network simulation system in BACnet field, but also can be used to direct the security solution of BACnet network in practical project.BACnet standard is a data communication protocol predigested according to OSI/RM, so it is similar to network protocol. Through the study on BACnet standard and network security technique, using common study method of network security on BACnet network, we can find all kinds of security problems in BACnet network and put forward the countermeasures after analyzing the security problems. After that, we can make security solutions according to the different application of BACnet network. On the other hand, after BACnet security problems put forward, how do we know the security problems really exist and the countermeasures are feasible is the problem should be taken into account and solved. Because NS is a fully open source network simulation system, it can simulate IP network very well. BACnet protocol is similar to IP protocol to some extent and BACnet/IP is on the IP protocol, so we can use the implementation of IP protocol for reference and implement partial function of BACnet protocol in NS to validate the existence of BACnet network security problems and the feasibility of countermeasures by simulation experiment.On the base of the study of relative theoretical knowledge, we get the following...
