Abstract/Summary:
With the development of mobile telecommunication, the mobile telecommunication net work will be upgraded to the third generation from the second one in very short future. The most important characteristic of 3G mobile network in Release 5 is the introduction of IP Multimedia Subsystem which is an independent domain apart from circuit switch domain and packet switch domain. As the main service control platform of 2G network, mobile intelligent network was deployed in very large scale. Every mobile carrier has large amount of IN users and has invested large amount of money in IN equipment. Before the deployment of 3G network, carriers have to take into account to provide users of IN using of 3G network services and carriers also have to take into account to make use of IN equipment. The key to solve these two problems is to implement the interworking between IMS and SCPThe interworking between IMS and SCP was defined in 3GPP specification TS23.278. This specification has defined a functional entity of IM-SSF and the architecture and signal flowing of the interworking between IMS and SCP. It includes interface definition of IM-SSF to S-CSCF, CAMEL CSI, detection point, BCSM and signal flowing. The other 3GPP specification TS29.278 defines the CAP interface between SCP and IM-SSF.
