Implementation Of Personalized Information Search System Based On Ontology

While information on Internet growing rapidly, People are relying on information search system to find what they want. Ontology is an advanced technology of knowledge representation in semantic WEB technology. Ontology represents abstract of facts by concepts and relation of concepts and an abstract model is constructed. In knowledge searching field, Ontology can be used to describe knowledge in structural way. We can searching, filtering and refining knowledge based on these techs.An introduction on basic theories of ontology and semantic WEB are available at the beginning of the paper. Then I introduce search engine's architecture, problems it is confronted with and the trend.After that I study some important facts when using ontology to represent and process semantic information. It contains the way to build knowledge base, method of searching knowledge base (KB) and make inference in KB. Then theory and algorithm for providing personalized service are presented. An introduction on providing recommendation and personalized services is followed. After that I design and implement personalized module and recommendation module for online shop system. Personalized module makes the system more accurate and aimed and recommendation module supplies well searching experience for new users.I come up with some algorithms and models, such as exactly matching and extend searching methods, semi — automatic building knowledge base, building and adjusting user model and etc.After analyzing field of mobile phones, a knowledge base of mobile phone is constructed. Then I design and implement a prototype system according to theories and algorithms above. After functional and performances test for the system, I analyze advantages and disadvantages of this system compared to search engine and existing online shop.After those testing I introduce a way to use this system as an intelligent agent for search engine or existing online shop. Implementation and design of the agent are presented. I also perform a functional, performances and contrast test on these agents.Then I analyzed the superiorities and shortages of this system compared to existing information searching system by testing data.
