Research And Design Of Key Technology Of The Domain-specific Knowledge Base System For Vertical Searching

In recent years,with the maturity of the traditional retrieval mode,intelligent search and personalized search has get more and more attention in the field of information retrieval,becoming common development goals of the academia and industry.At the same time,the rapid development of the technology related to cloud computing and big data provide a solid foundation for the evolution of information retrieval.Technology about knowledge base system which has become a common research and application hot spots of academia and industry gains more and more attention under this background.Currently,a number of Internet companies have launched some preliminary applications based on knowledge base system,such as Google's knowledge-graph,Sogou's knowledge-cube,Baidu's zhixin and so on.Although still in its infancy,these applications have already changing the traditional search mode imperceptible.Knowledge base also has a wide application in the field of vertical retrieval.Many popular vertical search systems,such as Google Scholar,IMDB and so on,provide rich knowledge-based vertical search functions that unlike general search.It is very natural and reasonable thing that using knowledge base make the-vertical search better,because they are both focused on related entities in a particular field.However,surprisingly little has been published about the end-to-end process of designing,building,and using such a knowledge base system.Therefore,this article first research and analyze the relevant technologies about vertical search and domain-specific knowledge base,including information retrieval,natural language processing,data integration,entities association and so on.These technologies are essential to build the domain-specific knowledge base.With these techniques,this article then gives a detailed design of a knowledge base which is applied to the subject of the video search system.And this article gives implementation of some key modules for knowledge base system.Finally,this article gives the application of domain-specific knowledge base for video search in particular,and analyzes the effect of application.Our goal with this article is to provide a real-world case study,and to provide a reference for building and using knowledge base for real-world applications.
