Development Of PDM-based Management Integrated Information System For College Students

The Management Integrated Information System for College Students (CS-IIS) is the product of blooming informatization of management in universities and colleges. The author takes charge of designing and implementing of the CS-IIS of Zhejiang Normal University, and the paper reflects a part of achievements attained during the process of system development.Product Data Management (PDM) is a software-technique-based and product-centered technology, which carries out unified integrating management of the product-related data, process and resources, aiming to realize orderly information management. There still exists the problem of information isolated island in the course of college informatizaion, so the author introduces the basic theoretics and techniques of PDM to the design of CS-IIS, and designs a college PDM system centered on student's development.This paper introduces the system structure completely, while it also gives detailed analysis and design of several important subsystems, including the student comprehensive quality evaluation subsystem, the party construction management subsystem and the dormitory management subsystem.The essential of the student comprehensive quality evaluation is to collect each student's academic scores and everyday behavior, and then create his evaluating mark and rank according to a certain assessing rule. The subsystem is designed and developed to carry out these targets. It is able to record information of each student's intellect, morality, sport and other qualities, as well as to perform marking and auditing. It is also able to set different algorithms to accommodate to different assessing rules, and then employ the evaluation algorithm to generate students' evaluating scores and ranks, which can be exported by using EXCEL or stored in specific forms.The party construction subsystem is a practice of the theory of electronic party affair. The system realizes most functions of student daily party construction by 5-level user management. It records the organizational development information of each student party member, provides the function of time reminding, manages all kinds of documents orderly, creates statistic tables automatically, and supports both the branch adjustment and document's transfer.The dormitory management subsystem realizes the function of recording the behavior of every student in his lodging life.
