With the exponential growth of the Internet subscribers, and the emergence of the new technologies and applications, the performance and service of the Internet should be more scalable and available. How can router meet the needs of future evolvement in network technology and application is becoming the hot research topic. According to the situation, people begin to pay close attention to the research of the next generation Internet. As the kernel of network technology, new network protocols and router architectures play important roles in the people's research of the next generation Internet. Forwarding and control element separation is one of the current new thoughts and research aspects..Based on the project-"Theory about Architecture of New Generation Internet" of 973, we gave emphasis on the research of ForCES.This dissertation proposed to research the cooperation of Control Plane. It decomposes the cooperation of Control Plane into distributed Control Plane and Control Plane redundancy.According to the distribution of Control Plane, this dissertation make the division of Control Plane based on route protocol process, CE and FE connection, CE and router field. To improve the performance of Control Plane, we put forward that it must be improving on routing algorithm and dividing the distribution of CE by routing region.According to the redundancy of Control Plane, this dissertation divides redundancy types of control plane of ForCES into: Cold State Backup, Control packet replication, Graceful Restart and Protocol Synchronization. To avoid route flapping caused by non-synchronization of main CE and backup CEs when they switched, we propose a model of Protocol Synchronization redundancy, key technology on implement of the model and a protocol of the election on main CE and backup CE's cooperation. Futhermore, we discuss the set of HeartBeat interval impact on the time of switch which relate with the route flapping.In order to validate the availability and feasibility, the Protocol Synchronization OSPF redundancy is implemented in an OpenRouter based software cluster router. We use HeartBeat module as error detection, bridge sync module as synchronization mechanism, and modify some parts of source code of zebra.Finally, we have the implement of the model tested on protocol consistency, switch of main and backup CE, inspection on route flapping. The test results verify that the model comply with the protocol and can avoid the route flapping.
