Research On Design And Manage Method Of Standard Data Element Based On Semantic Model

The communication of information system needs the unification of data. It is the basis of insuring and operating data commutatively to standard explain of characteristics of data element which means each basic unit of data. Currently, through automatic information systems to identifying and standardizing the shared data elements is the develop direction mostly. It needs to research on the complex relationship of data elements.This paper researched on the relationship of data elements based on the meaning of data element. It also researched on the identification of needs of data element standard, design of standard data element and standard data element management separately. It aimed at the data element standard needs of logistic information systems of the Armed Police. It is established in GB/T 18391 data element criterion and standard frame which regulated the design methods and the quality rule of standard data element design. It used for reference from the idea of established and managed data elements picked up from the standard process of U.S. Army (DoD 8320. 1—M—1). And it also consulted from the principle of construct meaning classify-tree which based on the data element conception of UDEF (Universal Data Element Frame).This paper expressed emphasized the method of design standard data element which based on the Semantic of data element. It designed standard data element rapidly and batched through constructing the data element model which under the supporting of information resource manage tool (HOPE 1.0). The model included two parts. It described term relationship of object-species word, characteristic word and express word of data elements through the Semantic model of data element. The attribute succeeding and derivative rule are manifested through the Semantic model of data element on this basis. So the concept layer, core layer and application layer of standard data element can be designed separately. And the metadata of data element can be used again in mostly degree. At the same time, the method of manage the expert standard data element and universal standard data element differently and separately is expressed which aimed at the characteristic of logistics operation need of the Armed Police. It also designed and explained the correlative flow of design and management.In order to validating the validity of this method, the paper used exchanged information which the accouterments providing in the army necessaries operation needing as the example to explain the using proceeding of this method. Through the contrast in the memory space, design efficiency and searching speed with traditional catalog data element design and manage method, the standard data element design and manage method based on the Semantic model of data element picked up from this paper. It is a feasible, effective and applied data element standard solving project.
