As a new research area, information hiding technology used in secret communication is rapidly developed in recent years and widely used in many application areas. So it is important to do research on the technologies of information hiding used in secret communication.Information hiding algorithms in audio signal are studied by quantifying the amplitude of the transform domain coefficient,and this technology is used inDCT(Discrete Consine Transform) domain,DWT domain (Discrete Wavelet Transform) and DCT plus DWT domain respectively.Experimental results demonstrate that these algorithms have good robustness and imperceptibility at the attach of noise stain and so on.The main research works are stated as following:(1) The principle and current research status of information hiding in audio signal is described.(2) An algorithm is designed to hide secret information by quantifying the amplitude of the transform domain coefficient,and it is used in DCT domain and DWT domain respectively. The secret information can be detected without the original signal.(3) The performance of this algorithm combined the DCT domain with the DWT domain can be improved because the characteristic of the two transforms is fully used. Experimental results of comparing the capability of the three algorithms demonstrate that the algorithm combining DWT and DCT is best.(4) The secret communication system based on information hiding technology is designed,and the solution is realized for audio transmission in the computer network environment.
