Research And Application Of Interface Agent

Agent technology is rapid development research field and it has applied in commerce, industry, military affairs, education fields currently. Experts point: most of IT development will be influenced by agent technology in ten years, and embedded Agent system will be in most consumed production.Interface agent is a branch of agent. Its application began from MS agent (Microsoft, 1995).Most people think that the interface agent only used to improve the human-machine interface like the assistant in office. Because of this opinion, the study of interface agent is limited. In fact a friendly user interface is not only obligatory but also combined with other functions and become an important part in Web applications. So how to use interface agent properly and how the interface agent interact with other agents is a problem must be solved.Surrounding this task, this paper first explores the actuality of agent technology, analyses three architecture of agent. On these analyses, this paper give a definition of interface agent.In this definition interface agent must have four basic abilities: ability of sense and react to messages from circumstance; ability of study;ability of task decompose; ability of interaction communication and cooperation. Sequently this paper implement the four abilities in MAS circumstance.Because the interface agent could act most effect only in MAS circumstance.A interface agent has the characteristics of reactive agent, deliberate agent and social agent at one time.One of the most important attributes of social agents for Web applications is the ability to fluently interact with human users and other agents. Unfortunately, interaction characteristics are seldom generated by computer professionals, and instead are often created by application designers such as sales managers, travel agencies, and school teachers. Our challenge is how to communicate between the computer professionals and the application designers.This paper tried to use Q language to solve this program.In the end this paper developed a special subject learning website to prove the usability of Q.In the last chapter this paper introduced Microsoft Agent-a interface agentdevelop environment and developed the modules of the website.In the website the author used some ideas of agent such as task allocation and collaborate.Implement all the modules of group collaborative learning, include task allocation, data collection, task submitting, evaluate and feedback.This system provide two methods to interact with users.Except for keyboard and mouse, users also can interact with agents through the technology of TTS(Text To Speech) and SRE(Speech Recognition Engine).With the use of TTS and SRE users can jump to other pages freely and rapidly.
